What is the JAE VOCAL PROJECT?
The JAE VOCAL PROJECT consists of characters who were created by a group of close friends. It began as a series of individual UTAU projects that were conceptualized and worked upon since 2014. At the time, there was no official name for the development team, and since the characters were not originally given relations to each other, there was no official name for the series. In 2018, the name "JAE" was pitched as the "serial code name". Thus, these UTAUs were referred to as the "JAE UTAUs". Since the release of DeepVocal in 2019, the name has been changed from "JAE UTAU PROJECT" to "JAE VOCAL PROJECT" to be more inclusive for other voice synthesizers. For more details, please see our page on UTAU Wikia.
