Today is Xiao Meihua's fifth anniversary! This year, we've uploaded a new cover of "Karakuri Pierrot", originally written by 40mP! The cover was handled by Mina Moonrise with illustrations by 02Kase-chan! This uses the VSQx by Mark LawX and the harmony vocals feature our affiliate from The StarRise Project: Seishi Starchaser! The cover is available on YouTube and bilibili! In the PV, you'll also notice cameos of Ser0, Xiao Shancha, JD, kEna, and Yu Junjie! Unfortunately, Canary couldn't make it, but we'll find a way to make it up to him for sure!
In addition, since it's June, all Xiao Meihua and Xiao Meiye keychains are on sale for the month! Please check out our official Ko-Fi shop if you're are interested in obtaining either character! Thank you very much for supporting Meihua after all these years! JAE VOCAL PROJECT has come a long way since then and we hope it shows!

A long while ago, Migi provided Miis of the JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast for the 3DS and WiiU. Now, with the new re-release of Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch, Migi provided updated Miis with the new wig and make-up styles available in this version! Like the previous versions, these are his own interpretations of the characters and is not meant to be the official canon. It is entirely optional to use them and everyone is entitled to creating their very own if they would like to! If you are interested in using any of them, use the following code to import them: 8GGJBT. To watch them in action, Migi has began streaming on Twitch and YouTube. All videos are archived on his new YouTube Channel that's dedicated strictly for streaming and non-vocal synthesis use. Check it out here!
Affiliate characters are also present in the game, but will not be accessible. Like JAE VOCAL PROJECT, these are only Migi's interpretations and are not official. There are some who are currently not available in the gameplay but will be in the future. The only affiliate who is distributed is Reicheru Nintone. Her owner actually made the Mii available on Twitter! We hope you like them and enjoy using them yourselves if you'd like! Today, Migi uploaded a new cover and demo song for StarRise Project's DeepVocal character: Novallus Moondancer! Novallus is the second vocal entry of the series and would be released later in the year. The song was a cover of "Star Mate", which was originally written by 40mP. MinaKi was credited for the mixing, Parapa-kun handled the illustrations, and dzktd was the video editor. The UST was created by lanttu. This demo is available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and bilibili. In the PV and harmonies, Seishi Starchaser, Xiao Meiye, and a new character were featured (while X-Y-R-3-N was a visual cameo only). This new character is Xiao Naidong, Meiye's younger brother! This cover used DeepVocal voicebanks only, so Xiao Shancha and Meihua were both adjusted in the GEN parameters of the software to achieve "Naidong and Meiye's voices".
More information about Naidong is available on our website and on UTAU Wiki. Like the other characters, fans can also download his official Mii for the Nintendo systems. We hope you enjoy the video and Naidong! Until next time!
Taking a small break from the excitement surrounding JD's upcoming release, a new video has surfaced!
NebulousViper covered "π" by Janus, and featured the vocals of Xiao Shancha, Canary, Seishi Starchaser, and Xiao Meihua! This cover uses their DeepVocal voicebanks, so this is considered an unofficial demo for Meihua and Shancha. The mixing was done by karasuhana, the art was done by Devsies, and the video editing was done by DIVINITY! The VSQx was supplied by Janus.
Shancha's DeepVocal voicebanks is a direct port of her UTAU voicebank. This means that it is CV Japanese. We are aware that there is risk by doing this, since DeepVocal does not tend to favor CV. The reason why we are releasing this voicebank is because we do not know when we would be working on Shancha again. We would rather release something for her now than wait a long time for something later.
This cover uses Meihua's Sweet voicebank. For DeepVocal and for her next update for her Japanese UTAU voicebank, she would be receiving two voicebanks: Natural and Sweet; just like her Mandarin and English packages. The voicebanks are CVVCV like Canary's. The DeepVocal version would be releasing first. The sisters are expected to release together, but we are unsure if they would be available in late 2019 or some time in early 2020. Please keep in mind that the designs in the "Pi" video are not meant to represent their final DeepVocal outfits. Those would be revealed upon release. The next time we'll see you all is on December 6 for JD's UTAU release! For now, we hope you enjoy this cover! See you on Friday!
Two affiliates of JAE VOCAL PROJECT have DeepVocal voicebanks released! The first we're showcasing is Pinku, owned by Tora☆Ouji. He has a Mandarin Chinese voicebank available for the voice synthesizer and he would no longer be produced for UTAU. You can still obtain his UTAU voicebanks through his website, but please be aware that all new vocals will be made for DeepVocal from now on.
His release video is a cover of "Sublime Symptoms" written by ToToo. The cover was done by Tora himself and the video was done by SlightlyShredded.
The art in the video was done by catticoon, the official illustrator of Pinku! It's a dynamic change of looks for DeepVocal! Downloads for his voicebank are available on Tora's website!
The second affiliate is Seishi Starchaser from the StarRise Project by Starchaser-C! He was released as an UTAU on July 1, 2019 and was configured for DeepVocal later in the month. NebulousViper had the honor of voicing the character in addition to being the first to make a full cover using the DeepVocal version! The cover also featured Xiao Meihua's Japanese DeepVocal voicebank, however, details about it is not ready to be shared yet.
The cover was "Magic Melody" written by cake from HoneyWorks. The mixing was done by SlightlyShredded and the art was by MochaBunnii.
Downloads for Seishi's UTAU and DeepVocal voicebanks are available in the blocks of The StarRise Project website!
We hope that you like their voicebanks and may consider using them in the future! We at JAE VOCAL PROJECT are extremely proud of Tora and Starchaser-C! Congratulations to them both!
