Please note that the information and biography are our interpretations of the character, but is not meant to be canon. Fans can still make their own interpretations in name, design, and personality if they wish, but must comply to any rules applied to the original character.

Naidong is a young man who often keeps to himself around strangers. Whenever he speaks, he tends to say what's on his mind and is described to be very blunt and seemingly cold at first glance. He is also stubborn, often refusing help because he wants to be more independent. Although strangers find him to be serious or difficult to approach, he is very gentle and energetic around people he likes. He enjoys teasing and caring for his peers, especially his older brother. While he is a good listener, there are times where he spaces out to the point that people think he's listening anyways. While he won't always share his problems in person, he tends to make videos of himself ranting on social media, often adding quips and jokes to make them more humorous. He also loves to take selfies of himself and post them online with captions about his daily activities.

But like his counterpart, Naidong does not tolerate people who try to create problems for him, his brother, or his friends. He is not afraid to retaliate verbally or physically if needed to, however, he may scare other people away because of this. This especially startles other people if they only knew of his lively and kinder side, as his colder and calculating behaviors would be regarded as "a complete 180".

His name is a combination of "small" and "can bloom in winter; bear the cold weather". It was suggested by one of Migi's friends and references the camellia flower's capability of surviving and blooming in the winter seasons. He was given a design in 2019 after Xiao Meiye, his older brother's, conception. He occasionally makes an appearance in illustrations and video games as a Mii.

  • For commercial use of Shancha's voicebanks and Naidong's character, permission is not required as long it falls under doujinshi (self-published) works. Contacting JAE VOCAL PROJECT is optional and encouraged as the members would like to see and support the work.
  • Oto.ini editing of Shancha's voicebank is allowed.
  • Do not edit Shancha's samples especially to create Naidong. We encourage users to create "his" voice through the adjustment of flags or the GEN parameters.
  • Shippings and pairings are allowed, but do not force as canon.
    • However, do not portray Naidong and Xiao Meihua as a romantic couple (incest; he would be considered her brother). This also applies to any derivatives based on Meihua's character (such as Xiao Meiye).
    • Do not ship Naidong with characters under the age of 18.
  • Do not use Naidong's character and Shancha's voicebanks to promote hate speech, slurs, and in other offensive ways that would slander the voice provider, Sayo Silver.
  • Political use is not allowed.
  • Voicebank redistribution is forbidden for Shancha.
  • Unofficial roleplay, accounts, and ask blogs for Naidong are forbidden.
  • Regarding AI creations:
    • Creating the character of Xiao Naidong through AI artwork generation applications and software is prohibited.
    • Using artwork of Xiao Naidong to train AI artwork generation applications and software is prohibited, especially without the explicit consent of both JAE VOCAL PROJECT and the original artist.
    • Using Xiao Shancha's voicebanks (which are used to create Xiao Naidong's voice) to train and create, use, and distribute AI voices and voicechangers is prohibited without explicit consent of both JAE VOCAL PROJECT, Shi Wei Migi, and Sayo Silver.
