There's so many things that are happening for February 2021! For starters, Canary and Xiao Shancha's 2nd anniversaries are taking place. Canary was released on February 2, 2019 and Shancha released on February 16, 2019. Because of this, throughout the whole month of February, customers can purchase Canary's and Shancha's keychains for 20%! If either character was someone you wanted to collect, now would be a good time to do so until the sale expires in March. For Canary, we haven't prepared an anniversary song for him. We do have some interesting plans coming, but they're not ready to be revealed just yet! Instead, we commissioned a piece from E.via and he came out stunning~! For Shancha, we do have something planned for her anniversary but it will not be revealed until February 16. In the meantime, her MMD model was just released by OSformula! The team collaborated with kimchi-tan (tuning) and Starchaser-C (video) in creating the MMD cover video to promote the model! MinaKi worked on the mixing! The song is "Gokuraku Jodo" which was originally performed by GARNiDELiA. Shancha's model is available for download now and the site can be accessed from her own webpage. If you plan to use her, please be sure to follow OSformula's terms of use. Remember that his rules may override our own (for example: if JAE VOCAL PROJECT allows NSFW, but OSformula does not, his rules are in effect, not ours). Lastly, we are sad to announce that Purpled, the manager and voice actress of Ser0 (JAE-02), as well as a longtime illustrator and designer of many of the cast members, has left JAE VOCAL PROJECT. She is interested in creating more of her own works, so she is still in touch with the voice synthesizer community, however, she ceased JAE VOCAL PROJECT activities. We strongly encourage that you continue to support her in her endeavors and we wish her luck! Due to this, the website has been updated to place Purpled under "Former Members" along with bajucy.
If you are curious, Ser0 is still part of JAE VOCAL PROJECT and will still receive merchandise if we come up with any new ones, but she will no longer be receiving any updates or new voicebanks. We hope you still like her as she is and look forward to any plans we may have in regard to songs or items!

It's a brand new year! We hope that you've had a wonderful holiday season and hope 2021 treats you well! Along with celebrating the New Year, it also means that we are celebrating Ser0, for she was released on January 1, 2017! For her 4th anniversary, we released a new song cover. It's "Splitting Apart", originally written by MinaKi in 2016. The cover and mixing was handled by Feng Quan while the illustrations and animations were done by Preuss. This was one of Purpled's favorite songs by MinaKi and it suits Ser0's voice very well! The song is available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and bilibili. Secondly, for our latest shop update, Ser0's keychain by Melody is also on sale for 25% off, bringing the price down to $6 instead of $8. This sale will be in effect throughout January, so if you were interested in purchasing her keychain, now would be a good time to do so! We still have amazing things coming for JAE VOCAL PROJECT soon: maybe this month... maybe next month... who knows? Only time will tell!
We hope you're looking forward to what comes next!
As noted in the previous newsletter, a second original song for JD's 1st anniversary was still underway. Now, it's been completed! "Chartreuse" was written by Purpled and the lyrics are completely in a fictional language. Lyrics were provided in the description for the SoundCloud upload!
Like "Broken Mechanics", we are hoping to have a PV completed for "Chartreuse" as well. MinaKi and Purpled worked very hard on their originals and it shows!
In the next few weeks, we still have more content coming! Stay tuned for those!
Can you believe that one year ago, JD was released? We can hardly believe it ourselves! To celebrate, the team coordinated an original song just for him! "Broken Mechanics" was written by MinaKi and uses an illustration by Purpled as the thumbnail for SoundCloud. There is no video for it yet, but rest assured that we are in the process of creating one!
The song uses JD's CV Japanese voicebank, but the lyrics are in English. Check the SoundCloud description for them!
This isn't the only thing we've got planned... but you'll have to wait and see about that!
We hope that you enjoy the song! Thank you for supporting JD and JAE VOCAL PROJECT all these years! We hope to see you again soon! It's been four years since Xiao Meihua was released! This year, we've put together a slideshow, displaying a handful of wonderful artwork she's gained over the years. Some of them are on public display on each of the artists' sites and others were never shown to the public before! The video itself was edited by DIVINITY and uses three covers that were already available to the public. Can you figure out which ones they are without looking? Check out the video on YouTube and bilibili! Be sure to view the description for the full credits. The artists and cover artists involved are listed and linked there.
It's been an exciting four years for not just Meihua, but the "informal debut" of JAE VOCAL PROJECT (group name was established in 2018) as well. We are pleased that we've come this far in what seems like both a long and a short time! Thank you always for your support! Be sure to be on the look out in the next few weeks for more content!
Just like before, we're afraid we have to put these two together. Sometimes, it's a little difficult to keep track of what needs to be updated, and this blog is one of them. We will do our best to make sure no new content is left behind!
But first, we want to first point out that SlightlyShredded and NebulousViper are now going by new usernames. SlightlyShredded is now known as Mina.Ki and NebulousViper changed his to 実偽Migi to conform with his nickname. These changes will be referenced from now on. Back on topic, Ser0 received another new original song! In total, there are four for her 3rd anniversary: "Shatter", "Will I Forgive You?", "Virtue Star Memorial", and finally, "Gravity". "Gravity" was composed and mixed by Mrs. Peach, with Purpled writing the lyrics and doing the tuning. Visually, Purpled illustrated the artwork and Mrs. Peach edited the video. The song is available on Mrs. Peach's YouTube account!
Next, we have the full version of Xiao Meihua's DeepVocal demo: "Flower color☆Shy girl", which was originally written by kinoshita. The cover was done by Migi and mixed by SlightlyShredded. Marukun provided the MIDI, pimienta_kast illustrated the art, and Cluemily did the video editing.
Of all of the DeepVocal demos for Meihua and Xiao Shancha, there's only one left without a video. This is still a work in progress.
This is all the content we have for today, but please look forward to more in the future! We don't know how soon in the future exactly, but there will definitely be more coming in the year!
For now, please enjoy these two songs!
One year ago, Xiao Shancha was released for UTAU as JAE-04! Can you believe it?
Like Canary before her, she received different usages throughout the year. They were even featured in a duet this past Halloween! For her anniversary, we managed to complete a full video of the "from Y to Y" DeepVocal demo! The song was written by JimmyThumb-P back in 2009. This cover and mixing was done by Yakou, the art was illustrated by Ariaera, and the video editing was handled by Cluemily! Everyone worked very hard on it and we hope that listeners were anticipating the full version. It's been almost two months since Shancha's DeepVocal released, so we are happy to have a completed song using it available for everyone to access! This song is featured on YouTube and SoundCloud. It will also be available on bilibili, but at the time of this post, it is not up yet due to technical difficulties.
We still have some things coming in the month, and hopefully, soon after that. Right now, we can't confirm what these things may be. You'll just have to wait and see!
Thank you for your support for JAE VOCAL PROJECT and for reading!
February 2 is SlightlyShredded's birthday! Last year, he released Canary under JAE VOCAL PROJECT and 2020 is Canary's first anniversary! To celebrate, he and the members of 3GIB, another group SlightlyShredded is a part of, worked together to make a new video!
For this year, they worked on new cover. It's "Iwashi ga Tsuchi kara Haetekuru n da". To respect the original songwriter's wishes to be left alone, we did not give their name. The cover was edited by peYton and mixed by SlightlyShredded. Tora☆Ouji did the illustration. This cover uses Crusher's UST. It is available on YouTube, SoundCloud, bilibili, and Niconico!
It's clear that a lot of effort and love was put into this cover for Canary! We all sincerely hope that you enjoy it.
In addition, in January, Ser0 received three original songs to celebrate her third anniversary. We have already made a blog post about "Shatter", SlightlyShredded's original song for her. We have not yet covered the other two. The first one we would like to display is "Will I Forgive You?". This was composed and mixed by MakushiFrequency, while Purpled handled the lyrics, tuning, and video editing. The art was done by chai-spices. This is only available on YouTube and bilibili.
The other song is "Virute Star Memorial". This was composed and mixed by OneThoughtRemains. Purpled wrote the lyrics and edited the video. Both of them collaborated to create the illustration.
It is available on YouTube, bilibili, and SoundCloud.
There we have it! Already, we're off to an amazing start with four songs to listen to: three originals and one cover!
There is still more to come, but you all would have to wait until February 16 for the next thing! That is, unless, something comes in between now and then? We will just have to see! Firstly, the members of JAE VOCAL PROJECT would like to wish a Happy New Year to everyone! 2020 is going to be exciting, and if you'll recall, Ser0's anniversary is on January 1! She was released three years ago on 2017! SlightlyShredded, Purpled, and OneThoughtRemains collaborated together to create "Shatter", an original just for Ser0! SlightlyShredded handled the composition and mixing, Purpled did the lyrics, tuning, and video, and OneThoughtRemains drew the illustration. The song could be viewed through YouTube, bilibili, and SoundCloud. The information and lyrics are available through UTAU Lyrics Wiki and VocaDB! Everyone worked tremendously hard and we hope it shows! The fun doesn't end there though! In addition to a new song, Purpled also illustrated a stunning anniversary outfit for Ser0! She's rocking a new style in a new dress, hairdo, and boots! As much as we didn't want to bring this up on her anniversary, this is relevant. We would only be able to host this image on this post and on UTAU Wiki. This is because, as of recently, we are no longer running on Weebly's starter plan. This will mean that the site may be seeing changes over time to accommodate this shift, but we will be doing our best to save as much content as we can and are considering other options!
Other than that, we still have many more things to come very soon! Be prepared for that! For now, please enjoy the new song and design, and we wish Ser0 a Happy Anniversary! Rvelvoid, one of our affiliates, recently released Hirai Ike's DeepVocal voicebank for his 7th anniversary! The crossfade consists of three songs: an original by DystoP, a short cover of "lili." by ewe, and a cover of "7/8" by Yuyoyuppe. Both covers were done by RottenVelvet, the owner of Rvelvoid. His voicebank was developed by DystoP. Download for Ike's voicebank was made available in the description! The members of JAE VOCAL PROJECT would like to congratulate Ike and RottenVelvet for his release! His new design is so handsome and we are pleased to see new content for our affiliates!
