Today, we released a new demo for Xiao Meihua's CVVCV Japanese, this time demonstrating the Sweet voicebank. It's "Splatter Party", a song originally written by Camellia. The cover and mixing was done by Marukun and the video was edited by Hana Misaki. The artwork was illustrated by jijiilong.
This is available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and bilibili.
You probably noticed in the PV that Meihua is wearing an entirely different outfit. This is her new Japanese design, or at least, a snippet of it! The final design will be revealed on the day of the voicebanks' release. We can confirm that the final artist is someone else entirely.
We are hoping that Xiao Meihua CVVCV Japanese (UTAU) would be released this summer, but there is always a possibility that it would be delayed. We will announce a date on our Twitter account when we have one decided. For now, please look forward to more content in the next few weeks! We managed to get a lot done, practically filling out the entirety of May! June is going to be just as fun, but be aware that not everything will be announced on the website as they may be personal works. Until next time!

The second demo for Xiao Meihua's CVVCV Japanese UTAU update is here! This time, it's "Sweet Devil" by 八王子P, with the lyrics written by q*Left! The cover was done by karasuhana and the mixing was handled by MinaKi. The illustration was by Z-Raid and the video editing was completed by Cluemily. This cover uses Vocaloider/Utauer's UST.
The song is also available on bilibili.
Two more demos for this update is expected, but it is unknown if they will be available before release. One of the demos would reveal her new Japanese design and we have not decided if we would like to show it before the crossfade or keep it as a surprise!
In total, Xiao Meihua is expecting her Arpasing English release, CVVChinese release, and CVVCV Japanese UTAU update. That's a lot of projects for her, and unfortunately, they're all beginning to converge on each other due to development delays. Aside from that, there are no other plans for her at the moment. We hope you are looking forward to her in addition to the other characters! We have so many things in store to show, but for now, patience is key for everyone, including us.
A new update for Xiao Meihua's Chinese voicebank is in the works! Almost a year ago, we've released her CV+VV voicebank for UTAU, but with the arrival of DeepVocal, things needed to change. Her CV+VV voicebanks could not be ported to DeepVocal without facing potential issues, so it was decided that she would be using Risku's CVVChinese reclist instead!
Her first demo for this update features her Natural DeepVocal voicebank. It's a cover of "心上秋" by litterzy, with the lyrics written by 冉语优. The cover was done by Migi and the mixing was completed by Mina.Ki. The harmonies were sung by JAE VOCAL PROJECT's Canary and Xiao Shancha, in addition to affiliate Tora☆Ouji's Pinku and a guest vocal: Yi. Yi is a male Mandarin Chinese and Japanese DeepVocal from Dream Vocal Project, and was added as a needed Mandarin harmony track. The demo features the original video and the description lists the entire staff for the song, so please check it out when you can! It's available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and bilibili!
This update is expected to have four DeepVocal demos and two UTAU demos in all! We hope you are looking forward to them!
As for any other Chinese voicebanks, we hope to have Xiao Shancha and Yu Junjie use this reclist as well. Their original CV+VV voicebanks will be scrapped in the meantime. We have yet to record either vocalist. There are so many interesting projects coming up soon; many of which are JAE VOCAL PROJECT related! Please consider following the team members on their social medias and media platforms so you don't miss a thing!
We are pleased to announce that the first demo for Xiao Meihua's Japanese update is now available! The updated voicebanks are in CVVCV style and use the same samples as her DeepVocal voicebanks.
The cover is "ELLIE", which was originally written by seleP. The cover and mixing was done by Mina.Ki, the art was illustrated by tobi, and the video was edited by TraInspud. Before attempting to view the video, it must be stressed that you must be 18 or older to view it. Due to the nature of the lyrics, we are taking measures to care for our viewers. It is a yandere-themed song, but it is a little beyond expected. Because of this, we also decided not to upload the video to bilibili. Discretion is advised.
Three more demos are to be expected for this update, however, it is possible that "ELLIE" may be the only one to be released before her voicebank is launched. We are only expecting to show either one or two demos in total before her update is available to the public, which includes this song.
In terms of the crossfade, a new design for this release will be revealed. And due to "ELLIE"'s lyrics, we will be omitting it in the crossfade. Thank you for understanding. We hope you are looking forward to Meihua's updated Japanese UTAU voicebanks! Until next time!
Just like before, we're afraid we have to put these two together. Sometimes, it's a little difficult to keep track of what needs to be updated, and this blog is one of them. We will do our best to make sure no new content is left behind!
But first, we want to first point out that SlightlyShredded and NebulousViper are now going by new usernames. SlightlyShredded is now known as Mina.Ki and NebulousViper changed his to 実偽Migi to conform with his nickname. These changes will be referenced from now on. Back on topic, Ser0 received another new original song! In total, there are four for her 3rd anniversary: "Shatter", "Will I Forgive You?", "Virtue Star Memorial", and finally, "Gravity". "Gravity" was composed and mixed by Mrs. Peach, with Purpled writing the lyrics and doing the tuning. Visually, Purpled illustrated the artwork and Mrs. Peach edited the video. The song is available on Mrs. Peach's YouTube account!
Next, we have the full version of Xiao Meihua's DeepVocal demo: "Flower color☆Shy girl", which was originally written by kinoshita. The cover was done by Migi and mixed by SlightlyShredded. Marukun provided the MIDI, pimienta_kast illustrated the art, and Cluemily did the video editing.
Of all of the DeepVocal demos for Meihua and Xiao Shancha, there's only one left without a video. This is still a work in progress.
This is all the content we have for today, but please look forward to more in the future! We don't know how soon in the future exactly, but there will definitely be more coming in the year!
For now, please enjoy these two songs! JAE VOCAL PROJECT wishes everyone a happy winter season! To celebrate, JAE:01 Xiao Meihua and JAE-04: Xiao Shancha have been released for DeepVocal! Both sing in Japanese and were developed by HitCoder. For Meihua, she has two voicebanks: Natural and Sweet. They are CVVCV monopitch voicebanks. An UTAU version will be released some time in 2020. For Shancha, her voicebank was ported from UTAU and remains a CV monopitch voicebank. We are hoping to update this at some point, but because we don't know when that would be, we are releasing her like this for now. Both have more plans for DeepVocal, but we cannot give more detail at the moment. In the crossfade below, there are three songs in total. The proper credits are in the description as well as the video itself! As of this post, the website was updated with the new voicebank releases. We are still currently working on editing the wiki pages, but VocaDB is finished. Meihua and Shancha were given adorable winter outfits for DeepVocal! They were designed by Purpled and illustrated by Oweruru! Information on the designs themselves will be available on DeepVocal wiki. You can download their voicebanks through our Dropbox and Baidu Drive accounts. Please read the rules and terms of service before doing so!
Meihua and Shancha DeepVocal serve as the last voicebank releases for 2019. We still have a lot of interesting projects coming up within the next few months! We hope you like the Xiao sisters and consider using their voicebanks! As always, we are looking forward to hear what you do with them!
Taking a small break from the excitement surrounding JD's upcoming release, a new video has surfaced!
NebulousViper covered "π" by Janus, and featured the vocals of Xiao Shancha, Canary, Seishi Starchaser, and Xiao Meihua! This cover uses their DeepVocal voicebanks, so this is considered an unofficial demo for Meihua and Shancha. The mixing was done by karasuhana, the art was done by Devsies, and the video editing was done by DIVINITY! The VSQx was supplied by Janus.
Shancha's DeepVocal voicebanks is a direct port of her UTAU voicebank. This means that it is CV Japanese. We are aware that there is risk by doing this, since DeepVocal does not tend to favor CV. The reason why we are releasing this voicebank is because we do not know when we would be working on Shancha again. We would rather release something for her now than wait a long time for something later.
This cover uses Meihua's Sweet voicebank. For DeepVocal and for her next update for her Japanese UTAU voicebank, she would be receiving two voicebanks: Natural and Sweet; just like her Mandarin and English packages. The voicebanks are CVVCV like Canary's. The DeepVocal version would be releasing first. The sisters are expected to release together, but we are unsure if they would be available in late 2019 or some time in early 2020. Please keep in mind that the designs in the "Pi" video are not meant to represent their final DeepVocal outfits. Those would be revealed upon release. The next time we'll see you all is on December 6 for JD's UTAU release! For now, we hope you enjoy this cover! See you on Friday! Within the last couple of months, we released three new videos featuring full length songs! Two of the songs are PV versions of demo songs and one of them is a new cover! The first video is for "MATRYOSHKA" by Hachi. This was a demo for Xiao Shancha's Japanese voicebank and also features Xiao Meihua. The cover and mixing was done by SlightlyShredded, the art was drawn by MochaBunnii, and the video was completed by Cluemily. This video was uploaded to YouTube in September, and is also available on bilibili and Niconico. It is not available on SoundCloud due to copyright issues. Later, a PV version of "Ame o Tsureyuku" featuring kEna was uploaded. Cluemily worked on the video for this as well, while the rest of the components were fulfilled by Preuss. The song was written by Hadano-P and the lyrics were written by 裏花火. The song originally featured VOCALOID Kagamine Len. The PV is available on YouTube, bilibili, and Niconico. Last but not least, we put together a project for Halloween! For months, the JAE VOCAL PROJECT members were working on a cover of "Furaan Furaan ~Zonbii~" featuring Canary and Shancha. Originally written by Nem for VOCALOIDs GUMI and CUL, the cover was handled by Lanttu and the mixing was done by SlightlyShredded. The artwork was illustrated by partialkakera and the video was finished by Purpled. The video features Yu Junjie as a cameo! With "Furaan Furaan ~Zonbii~" completed, we can now return our focuses to developing more voicebanks. We are still expecting to release Meihua English, Meihua DeepVocal, and Shancha DeepVocal in 2019. JD, Ser0 DeepVocal, Yu Junjie, and kEna are still expected to be released at some point, and it is possible that most of them may release in 2020.
We hope you are looking forward to our next projects and endeavors! Have a wonderful holiday season in advance!
During the week, we have revealed two new demos featuring the DeepVocal voicebanks of the Xiao sisters!
On Sunday, October 20, NebulousViper (more commonly known as Migi) worked on and uploaded a short cover of "Flower Colored☆Shy Girl", which was written by kinoshita. The song was mixed by SlightlyShredded and the MIDI was done by Marukun. The placeholder image was drawn by Crusher and the song features Meihua.
On October 25, we uploaded a short cover of "from Y to Y", written by JimmyThumb-P, on SoundCloud. It features Shancha's vocals, and was covered and mixed by yakou. The placeholder image was illustrated by RaccoonButler. This used IrisFlower's UST.
Both songs will be receiving full length videos. We are still getting the materials together! We currently have no set release date for these voicebanks, but we are hoping for the last quarter of 2019 or early 2020.
We hope that you are looking forward to these releases! At the time of this post, please expect the following (in no particular order):
The time has come to reveal the final design for Xiao Meihua English!
But first things first, JAE VOCAL PROJECT showed the third demo for her vocals. It's a cover of "Copycat" by CircusP and features her Natural voicebank. The cover and mixing was done by SlightlyShredded. The artwork was handled by Crispy6usiness and the video was done by DIVINITY. Special thanks were given to Pandora, who assisted with the video a little!
If you've seen the video, you may recognize or wonder about the ladies shown in the reflections of the mirror. Two of them are from the JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast: Ser0 and Xiao Shancha! The other two are affiliates: Nazo Eima from Rvelvoid in purple and Nintone Reicheru by StarGamer01 in yellow! If you are interested in these characters, please see Ser0 and Shancha's webpages as well as the "Affiliates" dropdown menu for Eima and Reicheru!
As you can see, the video acts as a design reveal for this voicebank! Meihua's English design draws inspiration from dawn and sunset for the color palette. It is a fancier style compared to her default Chinese design! The final illustration was done by Riisago! The concept was done by Purpled!
Meihua English still has one song left as a demo, but we'll be doing things a little differently this time. Rather than release the full song, we are planning to incorporate it into the crossfade video first as a preview! After that, we will release the full PV!
Right now, we don't really have a solid release date at the moment, but we are still hoping for Autumn 2019! Depending on the workload, we might be able to release her in late September! We encourage you to follow our twitter (@JaeVocalProject) so you don't miss out! We have so many projects to show you all and we're hoping to reveal them within this year! |
