Latest updates! An archive of the latest JAE VOCAL PROJECT updates!

It's been a while since we had a post dedicated just for website updates, but we've finally implemented them! What's been changed? For starters, there was an idea of some other members of the cast. Since September 2015, Xiao Meihua was the only one with official accounts. She had an official Facebook and an official Weibo before both were taken down and repurposed. The only account she had left was Twitter. Now, she is no longer the only one. Starting this past Monday, three new accounts have been opened. Like Meihua, they are available for people to interact and roleplay with if they wish. The accounts belong to Xiao Meiye (@MeiyeLikesBooks), Xiao Shancha (@BroodingShancha), and Yu Junjie (@JAE_YuJunjie)! Each of their accounts can be accessed through the characters' webpages. For Meiye and Shancha, the accounts can also be found in the external links of their UTAU Wikia pages and on VocaDB. Junjie is still an upcoming vocal, so he does not have a Wiki page nor a VocaDB entry yet. As the title also implies, this blog is also about our new policies. The policies are in regards to the JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast's terms of use. You can now find a new rule about unofficial accounts and roleplaying. When you look through the characters' webpages, you'll notice that each one has a different rule about roleplaying. It is important to pay close attention to each. Some of the characters allow roleplaying, unofficial accounts, and ask blogs if permission was granted by a member of JAE VOCAL PROJECT, while others may allow these if the manager of the character gave permission. Only one forbids these accounts entirely. Please be aware of which character falls under which category. Things have been quiet for JAE VOCAL PROJECT as of lately. The members are working as diligently as possible, but with school and work upon us in real life, things will be slowing down for a while.
We are still currently expecting the following to release soon. This may not be the set release order:
We hope you are all looking forward to these releases! Thank you for reading and for your support of JAE VOCAL PROJECT!

JAE VOCAL PROJECT presents a special cover for Xiao Shancha. It's "いかないで" by 想太! The cover and mixing was done by Preuss using AntUTAU's UST. The art was done by chikorita85 and the video was edited by SlightlyShredded! The cover is available on YouTube, SoundCloud, bilibili, and Niconico.
Something to note about this cover was that it was intended to be one of Shancha's demos for Japanese, however, it was delayed. We haven't been able to complete it until recently. In addition, the male character in the video is kEna, one of our upcoming characters for JAE VOCAL PROJECT!
Because we've been focusing on upcoming projects so much lately, this is a nice little breather. It's been so long since Shancha received something for herself! This is only her second full video, so we hope that you enjoy it and her! Thank you for watching and reading! Official Miis of the JAE UTAU PROJECT characters have been created by Migi and are now added to the website! You can find the QR codes in the "Other Assets" sections of the character pages! These can be imported to the 3DS and WiiU systems, and you can use them for your own adventures! You'll notice that many of the characters do not have the correct hair or eye colors. These were done on Mii Maker, which only have a small number of colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. However, some games allow players to customize colors. Migi has Tomodachi Life and Miitopia, two games for the 3DS. Tomodachi Life allows the player to change the haircolor and Miitopia has custom colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. QR codes for these games can be distributed if there is a demand for it. On the note for the Nintendo Switch however, the characters would have to be made from scratch as there is currently no way to exchange Miis unless players are nearby each other or if a Mii was saved to an amiibo. If this changes in the future, these would certainly be added to the website!
For now, we hope you enjoy the Miis and bring them with you for delightful adventures! JAE UTAU PROJECT now has an official store open on Storenvy! You can find the link up in the navigation bar on the right. This will take you directly to our shop! As of today, you can purchase 25mm buttons of the first four JAE UTAU characters: Xiao Meihua, Ser0, Canary, and Xiao Shancha! These buttons were illustrated by winter (hyoujisama)! If you purchase all four, you can receive a free postcard illustrated by oweruru! We hope to present more merchandise of our UTAU some time soon, but we are truly pleased with these adorable buttons! We hope you like them if you choose to purchase them!
Thank you for your support in advance! Xiao Shancha is finally here! Taking the serial code of "JAE-04", her CV Japanese voicebank is now released! We uploaded her debut video to YouTube! Many thanks to SlightlyShredded, Purpled, and Preuss for the awesome covers presented in the crossfade! As you can see in the description, "Shinkai Shoujo" is the only one with a full version available. Whether or not the other covers would receive full versions, we can't say, but do expect more Shancha covers coming soon! Shancha is the younger sister of Xiao Meihua and her voice was provided by Sayo Silver! Her voicebank and illustrations were done by Purpled. To learn more about her and to access the download to her voicebank, please see her character page on the site! Like Meihua, Shancha was meant to be a bilingual UTAU capable in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, however, her Mandarin voicebank is delayed. We cannot explain why at the moment, but please look forward to this voicebank eventually! Also, please expect the same treatment for Yu Junjie, one of our upcoming male UTAUs!
We hope you like Xiao Shancha and we can't wait to see what you do with her! |
