A new update for Xiao Meihua's Chinese voicebank is in the works! Almost a year ago, we've released her CV+VV voicebank for UTAU, but with the arrival of DeepVocal, things needed to change. Her CV+VV voicebanks could not be ported to DeepVocal without facing potential issues, so it was decided that she would be using Risku's CVVChinese reclist instead!
Her first demo for this update features her Natural DeepVocal voicebank. It's a cover of "心上秋" by litterzy, with the lyrics written by 冉语优. The cover was done by Migi and the mixing was completed by Mina.Ki. The harmonies were sung by JAE VOCAL PROJECT's Canary and Xiao Shancha, in addition to affiliate Tora☆Ouji's Pinku and a guest vocal: Yi. Yi is a male Mandarin Chinese and Japanese DeepVocal from Dream Vocal Project, and was added as a needed Mandarin harmony track. The demo features the original video and the description lists the entire staff for the song, so please check it out when you can! It's available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and bilibili!
This update is expected to have four DeepVocal demos and two UTAU demos in all! We hope you are looking forward to them!
As for any other Chinese voicebanks, we hope to have Xiao Shancha and Yu Junjie use this reclist as well. Their original CV+VV voicebanks will be scrapped in the meantime. We have yet to record either vocalist. There are so many interesting projects coming up soon; many of which are JAE VOCAL PROJECT related! Please consider following the team members on their social medias and media platforms so you don't miss a thing!

Within the last couple of months, we released three new videos featuring full length songs! Two of the songs are PV versions of demo songs and one of them is a new cover! The first video is for "MATRYOSHKA" by Hachi. This was a demo for Xiao Shancha's Japanese voicebank and also features Xiao Meihua. The cover and mixing was done by SlightlyShredded, the art was drawn by MochaBunnii, and the video was completed by Cluemily. This video was uploaded to YouTube in September, and is also available on bilibili and Niconico. It is not available on SoundCloud due to copyright issues. Later, a PV version of "Ame o Tsureyuku" featuring kEna was uploaded. Cluemily worked on the video for this as well, while the rest of the components were fulfilled by Preuss. The song was written by Hadano-P and the lyrics were written by 裏花火. The song originally featured VOCALOID Kagamine Len. The PV is available on YouTube, bilibili, and Niconico. Last but not least, we put together a project for Halloween! For months, the JAE VOCAL PROJECT members were working on a cover of "Furaan Furaan ~Zonbii~" featuring Canary and Shancha. Originally written by Nem for VOCALOIDs GUMI and CUL, the cover was handled by Lanttu and the mixing was done by SlightlyShredded. The artwork was illustrated by partialkakera and the video was finished by Purpled. The video features Yu Junjie as a cameo! With "Furaan Furaan ~Zonbii~" completed, we can now return our focuses to developing more voicebanks. We are still expecting to release Meihua English, Meihua DeepVocal, and Shancha DeepVocal in 2019. JD, Ser0 DeepVocal, Yu Junjie, and kEna are still expected to be released at some point, and it is possible that most of them may release in 2020.
We hope you are looking forward to our next projects and endeavors! Have a wonderful holiday season in advance! It's been a while since we had a post dedicated just for website updates, but we've finally implemented them! What's been changed? For starters, there was an idea of some other members of the cast. Since September 2015, Xiao Meihua was the only one with official accounts. She had an official Facebook and an official Weibo before both were taken down and repurposed. The only account she had left was Twitter. Now, she is no longer the only one. Starting this past Monday, three new accounts have been opened. Like Meihua, they are available for people to interact and roleplay with if they wish. The accounts belong to Xiao Meiye (@MeiyeLikesBooks), Xiao Shancha (@BroodingShancha), and Yu Junjie (@JAE_YuJunjie)! Each of their accounts can be accessed through the characters' webpages. For Meiye and Shancha, the accounts can also be found in the external links of their UTAU Wikia pages and on VocaDB. Junjie is still an upcoming vocal, so he does not have a Wiki page nor a VocaDB entry yet. As the title also implies, this blog is also about our new policies. The policies are in regards to the JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast's terms of use. You can now find a new rule about unofficial accounts and roleplaying. When you look through the characters' webpages, you'll notice that each one has a different rule about roleplaying. It is important to pay close attention to each. Some of the characters allow roleplaying, unofficial accounts, and ask blogs if permission was granted by a member of JAE VOCAL PROJECT, while others may allow these if the manager of the character gave permission. Only one forbids these accounts entirely. Please be aware of which character falls under which category. Things have been quiet for JAE VOCAL PROJECT as of lately. The members are working as diligently as possible, but with school and work upon us in real life, things will be slowing down for a while.
We are still currently expecting the following to release soon. This may not be the set release order:
We hope you are all looking forward to these releases! Thank you for reading and for your support of JAE VOCAL PROJECT! Official Miis of the JAE UTAU PROJECT characters have been created by Migi and are now added to the website! You can find the QR codes in the "Other Assets" sections of the character pages! These can be imported to the 3DS and WiiU systems, and you can use them for your own adventures! You'll notice that many of the characters do not have the correct hair or eye colors. These were done on Mii Maker, which only have a small number of colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. However, some games allow players to customize colors. Migi has Tomodachi Life and Miitopia, two games for the 3DS. Tomodachi Life allows the player to change the haircolor and Miitopia has custom colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. QR codes for these games can be distributed if there is a demand for it. On the note for the Nintendo Switch however, the characters would have to be made from scratch as there is currently no way to exchange Miis unless players are nearby each other or if a Mii was saved to an amiibo. If this changes in the future, these would certainly be added to the website!
For now, we hope you enjoy the Miis and bring them with you for delightful adventures! If you've been a long-time follower of the JAE UTAU PROJECT, you may know that the cast consists of seven characters. Only six had their own pages on the website. Now, the missing UTAU finally has his own page: JD! As you can see in the example above, JD doesn't have a character image uploaded. This is because official art hasn't been finished for him yet. However, this doesn't mean that fans can't see him!
On the homepage, you'll notice Meihua and Ser0 along with a boy with brown hair and eyes, as well as a red and white top. This is JD! He has been on the website since the beginning. In fact, JD received many pieces of art through commissions over the years! He is just as old as Meihua and Ser0 are! But with many projects to come for the JAE UTAU PROJECT, it's undecided when he would be released. He, kEna, and Yu Junjie are the last vocals of the series to make their debut, but when they do, we hope you'll look forward to them! Xiao Shancha is finally here! Taking the serial code of "JAE-04", her CV Japanese voicebank is now released! We uploaded her debut video to YouTube! Many thanks to SlightlyShredded, Purpled, and Preuss for the awesome covers presented in the crossfade! As you can see in the description, "Shinkai Shoujo" is the only one with a full version available. Whether or not the other covers would receive full versions, we can't say, but do expect more Shancha covers coming soon! Shancha is the younger sister of Xiao Meihua and her voice was provided by Sayo Silver! Her voicebank and illustrations were done by Purpled. To learn more about her and to access the download to her voicebank, please see her character page on the site! Like Meihua, Shancha was meant to be a bilingual UTAU capable in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, however, her Mandarin voicebank is delayed. We cannot explain why at the moment, but please look forward to this voicebank eventually! Also, please expect the same treatment for Yu Junjie, one of our upcoming male UTAUs!
We hope you like Xiao Shancha and we can't wait to see what you do with her! |
